Mini Maestros
Jungle Jams
Sunday, February 7, 2027 - 2:30pm
Grab your explorer hat - we’re heading into the jungle!
Shay Ryan, emcee
Symphony Tacoma Brass Quintet
Join the Symphony Tacoma Brass Quintet for an adventure through the deep, dark jungle, where trumpets roar, tubas rumble, and horns call out like animals in the trees. Along the way, your little adventurers will learn how instruments make high and low sounds, and how music can bring a whole jungle to life.
Little jaguars, toucans, and curious creatures of every kind are welcome. You can even wear your favorite animal costume!
Arrive early! The instrument petting zoo opens at 1:30 pm, where kids can touch, hold, and try real instruments before the music begins.
About Mini Maestros
Mini Maestros is made for children ages 2–8 and the grown-ups who love them. Each concert spotlights a different family of orchestra instruments, with curriculum designed by early childhood learning experts.
Educator and emcee Shay Ryan guides the fun, introducing instruments and musical ideas while Symphony Tacoma musicians play. Expect singing, dancing, clapping — and a whole lot of learning along the way.
Concerts run about 45 minutes. Wiggling encouraged. Noise is welcome. Come and go as you need.
