Tickets for Our Community
Live music, shared with the people who could use it most.
Music has a way of easing stress, lifting a hard week, and bringing people together. Tickets for Our Community makes it possible for more of our neighbors to experience that, free of charge.
Through this program, Symphony Tacoma partners with South Sound social service organizations, first responders, and military family networks. We set aside up to 80 complimentary tickets for every concert, and our partners share them with their clients and staff.
There's no dress code and no experience needed. Just come and enjoy the music.
Who we partner with
We work with organizations that serve people who might not otherwise have the chance to attend a concert. That includes food banks, housing and shelter programs, organizations working with immigrants and refugees, youth programs, and military families. Our founding partner is Vet Tix, which connects veterans, service members, and their families with tickets to live events. We have also recently partnered with Tacoma Community House and the Tacoma Fire Department.
How it works
Your organization applies using the form above. Our staff reviews each application, and you'll hear back from us within 5 business days.
Once you're a partner, we'll contact you up to 30 days before each concert.
You tell us how many tickets you'd like, based on who you expect will attend.
We'll email you a code to pass along to your staff and clients. They can use it to get tickets the same way anyone else would, and pick the seats that suit them, including accessible seating.
Tickets are available for all Symphony Tacoma concerts. Availability can change from concert to concert, and there are fewer seats for Messiah and the Mini Maestros performances.
What we ask of our partners
Share the ticket code with your clients and staff. Tickets are for their use only, so they can't be resold or used for fundraising. (If you're looking for tickets to auction or raffle, see our Ticket Donation Request page.)
Encourage the people you give tickets to to attend, and let us know if seats are going to go unused, so we can offer them to someone else.
When you can, send us feedback, quotes, or photos from the people who attended. Hearing how the night went helps us keep the program going and growing.
